Duncan’s close proximity to the Loup and Platte Rivers provide residents and visitors with a multitude of outdoor recreation opportunities.  Duncan Lakes, located south of Duncan, offers residents of the lake water skiing, fishing, and swimming in the summer and ice fishing and skating in the winter.

In 2004, Duncan started the annual “Ribfest”, attracting 7,000 people each year.  Ribfest is held at the end of June.
